Jeffery is based in The Netherlands. He was starting his new high-end kitchenware brand, Vanj. He sought my help to design a premium salt and pepper mill. Inspired by brands like Le Creuset, the goal was to create unique and luxurious mills with a distinctive detail that set them apart in the market. After several discussions, I began exploring design options. The result was a refined pair of mills that embody sophistication and elevate the kitchen experience.
Setting the Design Direction
I focused on adding subtle yet distinctive luxury to the design. To gather inspiration for form and details, I explored a mix of references, including jewelry, trophies, sculptures, modern cookware, and vintage pieces.
CMF Exploration
After the client approved the design, I moved the project forward to CAD and CMF exploration. He decided to pursue a couple of different color and finishing options.
